Administration

Administration is a really exciting way to join our ever growing team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals.

Temporary administration is incredibly important to the running of the hospital and you can cover many interesting roles including medical secretaries, receptionist and general administration.

Administration is incredibly important to the running of the hospital as it provides cover for many interesting roles including medical secretaries, receptionists and general administrators.

We are always looking to recruit people with strong admin skills who have a background in customer services and want to work in a people focused setting. Many of our roles are people facing and the first experience patients and visitors have of our hospital when they visit. It is important that we therefore welcome everyone in a friendly and polite manner.

Working in Administration can be a really flexible way of working so is ideal for those who need to balance working around family or other commitments.  It would also suit students wanting to work during the holidays or those who want to try out working in different areas of the hospital.

We are especially interested in anyone with audio typing experience.

Health Care Assistant

Health Care Assistants (HCAs) are a vital part of the hospital structure. They deliver care in every imaginable setting, and are invariably the people who deliver the majority of hands-on nursing care, so are very much part of the nursing team.

Although we are always looking for experienced HCA’s and people with care experience, you don’t need any formal qualifications or training to apply for our HCA, in fact a friendly and helpful manner is one of the most important aspects of this role.

We offer a full and comprehensive training course for all Health Care Assistants who join us, this runs for 2 weeks and is a mixture of classroom and ward based learning.

Working as a HCA on our staff bank offers flexibility of shifts and gives you the opportunity to work in many of our ward and outpatient departments offering the chance to experience life across the whole hospital. It is easy to book shifts either online or in person at our dedicated booking desk.

Additionally, we are offering increased supernumerary shifts/support for our bank HCAs. You can also access your bank shift pay instantly with Wagestream either through the App or this link.
